Good food good cocktails nice cosy place! Clear recommendation
Great food and friendly service in a quirky and buzzy part of town. The caipirinahs were strong and well priced. We were staying around at the corner at Villa Bahia so called to this bar several times. The burrata and pesto starter/sharer was fresh and tasty- it was nice to have a change from the samey food that most other restaurants on the area serve. Also tried the Zulu Special (steak with peppers/onions and chips) and that was really good. Staff were friendly and we felt safe in the area.

The best meal I had in Brazil. We got the vegetarian stew thing, and it was delicious! The dish was for 2 but it would have easily served 3 people.

Just flown in to Salvador, hungry and in need of refreshments. Had already been told about this restaurant and then it turned out it was part of the hostel and round the corner from where I am staying. Now I’ve had some nice burrata dishes while in Brazil but haven’t found any in the last month so when I discovered they had it on the menu I was in no doubt I would take it. Despite a spite language barrier the menu is in English and the laddies (waitress and chef) are smiling and lovely. The plate arrives with homemade bread, tomatoes, garlic, basil and a beautiful fresh ball of Burrata. Extra olive oil and a little dish of spicy sauce were also brought to the table. I was in heaven and savoured every mouthful. I am so please to find Bar Zulu and intend to return tomorrow for the same again!!
Excellent restaurant, go for the Moqueca and you won't regret it. Quantity and quality of food are great for the price! Cheaper than other restaurants around. It is a small restaurant, service was not slow as I could read in others comments. For me the best Moqueca I ate until now
Third time eating here , its our favourite place to eat, the food is made with love and the staff are accommodating and friendly. The waitress has lovely energy and makes sure your comfortable and the chefs also share this energy and prepare undoubtedly good food every time. We are never disappointed eating here and always leave with a smile. The portions are excellent. The price is reasonable. The food arrives at the same time and is always hot and cooked to perfection. Clean toilets, lovely vast selection of drinks all perfectly chilled. I can't praise this establishment enough. Five star restaurant.
